Who has access to the TigerNet Alumni Directory?
Princeton University undergraduate and graduate alumni registered for TigerNet Online Services have access to the directory, as well as current students, faculty and staff.
How do I look up an alumnus/a?
Once logged into TigerNet, you can do a quick search using "Find a Friend" on the TigerNet Online Services page.
For more customized searches, go to the Directory Search page. There are options available that allow you to search by class year, e-mail address, geographical location and more.
I am having trouble finding a fellow alumnus in the directory search. Help!
The search features in TigerNet are particularly sensitive to misspellings so sometimes less is more. Not all of the fields need to be filled in so you might want to try putting in partial information, such as the beginning of a last name and the first initial of a first name.
Why is there a limit of 50 drill downs per 24 hours?
This is a security measure to prevent the unauthorized use of alumni information. Please note: Class, regional and affiliated group officers should utilize the Volunteer Services section of the site to view a complete list of all the members within their particular group.
Are all alumni listed in TigerNet?
Yes. All alumni from 1917 onward, for which we have an entry in Alumni Records, are listed with at least a name entry in TigerNet. While this does include deceased alumni, only their name and degree information is listed.
What if I do not want my information displayed?
You have the ability to block information from appearing in the Alumni Directory. Go to the Directory Updates page to choose the information you would like to keep from appearing. You can also go in and unblock this information at any time.
Please note: Blocking this information from being displayed does not permanently delete it from Alumni Records. If you would like to have information deleted permanently from your record or if you would like to change information that you cannot change via Directory Updates, please contact Alumni Records.
Can I determine which e-mail addresses are shown for my entry?
Yes. You can update your e-mail information, as well as select your preferred or primary e-mail address on the Directory Updates page. You can also contact Alumni Records with this information.
Can I change my name, home, business address, etc?
Yes. You can update all of this information on the Directory Updates page. You can also contact Alumni Records with this information. Except for e-mail address changes, all other modifications can take up to 7 days to appear in the TigerNet directory.
I have changed my last name. How do I update my record with this information? Will fellow alumni be able to search and find my entry under my old and/or new last name?
You will need to contact Alumni Records with this information. And yes, the last name search feature will allow fellow alumni to search through birth name, current last name and middle name to find you.
Are changes made here reflected in Alumni Records?
All changes made in TigerNet will be included in your Alumni Records entry.
