Beat Harvard!You are invited to join your classmates, wives and guests. Kickoff is scheduled at noon in order to accommodate TV coverage. We have a number of fun activities surrounding this classic football rivalry. 10:00-1:00pm Jadwin Gym Tailgate. Class of 1961 has 2 tables. Cash buffet - soup, hot/cold sandwiches, beverages & dessert. Cost: $10.50. 12:00-3:15pm Princeton-Harvard football game. After Game Alumni Reception & opening of exhibit commemorating the 250th Anniversary of Nassau Hall & McLean House. Frist Student Center (formerly Palmer Hall Physics Building). 5:00pm Class of 1961 Reception followed by Dinner at Quadrangle Club's library. This delightful gathering is being hosted by Joe McGinity and features Joe's private stock of spirits and wine, beer, and soft drinks. Chef Neville's dinners and desserts are excellent. Cost: $25 per person. The dining room will be a potential "full house" since the Class of 1951 will be having a mini-reunion dinner as well. Football Ticket Ordering: Please order by telephone (609) 258-3538 by Monday October 2, 2006, and specify that you wish to sit with the Class of 1961. Tickets are $7 each plus a processing fee of $5 per order. Tickets will be mailed to you before the game unless you ask that they be held for you at the stadium pick-up booth. Our seats will be on the sunny visitor's side of the stadium between the 20 & 40-yard line. Bring your visor hat to keep the sun out of your eyes. Jim & Marilyn Adams Princeton came from behind to beat Harvard 31-28 in a very exciting game on a picture perfect day. After Princeton scored its game winning touchdown, the Class of 1961 sang Happy Birthday to our new Class President John Graham. The song was repeated at the reception and dinner as host Joe McGinity presented John with a piece of cake with flaming candles. The Class of 1961 formed the major cheering section on visitor side with some assistance from Patrick Davidson's power megaphone. The Class of 1961 had one of the largest numbers of the classes attending the pre-game tailgate. Rick and Kathy Wall brought their daughter Wendy with husband Jim and grandsons Jacob & Luke. They loved the Princeton victory. Maureen and Joe McGinity hosted a delightful class reception and dinner at Quadrangle Club. Our classmates and wives had such a good time that they closed up the dining room. Joe has already booked Quadrangle Club for next years reception and dinner after the Yale game.
