Dress:
Men: The preferred P-rade outfit for classmates is blazer, new
black polo, white pants, or on a hot day white shorts (for those who are
willing to expose their legs). Then the straw hats for those who have
preserved them or the 1961 caps, and this year, cardboard engineer
caps.
Otherwise, the weekend attire is casual and will depend on the weather.
Perhaps dinners will be "smart casual" but that term now just
excludes bathing suits and no shirts! Jeans would be
OK for most things. - Justin Kimball
Women: For evenings, a dress, skirt or pants would be fine. Many
women wear their own orange and/or black outfits which of course is fun to
see. The women don't have to be in the "Costume" all
weekend. Just for the P-rade*. I think the thing to stress is to be
comfortable and not worry about wearing anything really fancy. Casual
clothes are fine. It will probably get cool at night so a jacket or
sweater would be wise to bring. - Evelyn Prather
*Ladies P-rade Costume should contain some Orange and Black. Options:
- Black shirt with the logo or a black shirt of your own, with white or
orange pants
- A dress, skirt, or pants made from the 61 fabric
- White shirt with orange or black pants (the T-shirt some people ordered
is white - logo on front, "61" on back)
- Scarves can be picked up at the Holder site. If you need yours ahead of
the reunion weekend, please click to email Eve
Prather or call her on 908-781-7328.
