45th Reunion
Theme
[At the 10/8/04 class officers' meeting, several ideas were discussed,
including an Aussie theme, a golf theme, a no-theme, a '61 historic theme.
We decided we should have a theme and reflect it in our polo shirts, tie
(perhaps), decor, and P-rade. We decided to keep our (classic) reunion
jackets.]

Al: What a terrific picture. I hope Len can put it up on the web site and
George may be able to use it in the column, or on some posters for
the P-rade. (Click here.)

Dear
Joe and fellow '61 tigers: Clear the Track-- my son found this PJ&B
car from the 50's.

In my anxiety to get my E-mail about the budget out, I completely
forgot my intention to comment on the reunion logo. I saw it in George’s
column in PAW, and it looks **great**. Whoever simplified it and reduced
the lines and blocks to the present few did a superb job, and my hat is
off (well, actually, I cannot find my hat) to all concerned.

Reply to question on embroidery art: "Thanks Tom. Also - possible to
pick a nice "interlock" fabric, as opposed to a
"pique", thus allowing a screen printed logo as a possible.
Although most embroider a sport or golf shirt, there are some nicer
interlocks (a flatter fabric surface, like a thicker, nicer
T-shirt). I only point this out, so that if you all really like the
logo with all the detail, then that would be an option for you. Gary"

As you can see below, our 45th Reunion theme is all about railroads,
and tracks, and going back. That theme will pervade every part of the
weekend. Well, almost. We need your help with the P-rade. We’ll have
orange and black balloons with the reunion logo on them, to be sure, but
that’s not enough. We need something to make our P-rade section stand
out and be remembered.
What we need is a burst of creative genius from some classmate to
design and produce a float, or a chain-gang of simulated railroad cars, or
something out of the ordinary that is consistent with the theme,
attention-getting, and funny.
Any classmate who would like to take on this assignment should contact Joe
Prather or George Brakeley
(click name to send an email).

I think this is very good. It is 4 colors, unless they can do the
black as a drop out, which will make it more expensive I guess.

Looks nice and crisp!! I like it.

Joe Prather and I talked about the problem we had with both possible logos
(too much detail etc.) for embroidery. So I went back to Aztec and asked
them to rework the design so that either or a combo of the possible logos
would look good embroidered on a black shirt. Either possible logo will work fine
silk- screened on a t-shirt.
Joe thought it was great (I do too) and suggested you post on web for all
to see & comment.
