CLASS OF 1951
CLASS OF 1951-55TH REUNION P-RADE COMMENTARY
The Class of 1951, led by President Bill Paxton and the legendary Mount Kisco
Pipe and Drum Corps, and still able to march after obtaining the benefit of
days of good music and fine food planned by Reunion Chair Nick Wilson and his
crew, returns for its Revolutionary record breaking 55th Reunion to the site
of its first reunion--the stadium. In between the Class has customarily set
attendance and annual giving records for its major reunions thereby
encouraging the Class of 1952 to its subsequent high levels of performance.
The Class has provided the University over the years with at least two Deans:
Woodrow and Engineering-the head football coach who converted the university
from the single wing-a Chair-and a Director of the Alumni Council-the first
Director of Facilities Planning-Chairs of the Art, English and Math
Departments-a Woodrow Wilson Award winner and even two panelists at this
year's Reunion Seminars-to name a few. This Class likes to reune and set the
record for the largest mini reunion held off campus this year. They enjoy
functioning as a Class with AG participation at the 80% level while over 100
members contributed to refurbish the 1951 Seminar Room in Chancellor Green
over the last three years to complement the Class capital effort to create
the 1951 information center at the Library on their 25th.
