This is not a replacement for the "Class of 1933 Summer Newsletter". Nothing could ever replace the wonderful publication that Bob Keidel and Curly Marsh started in 1989. Recollections, photographs, glimpses into the personal lives, experiences and achievements of our classmates brought us together like a family as nothing else could. Add to that a sprinkling of humor, generous offerings of original poetry, and some current class reports and we all received that wonderful gift of communication with friends we had started to know many years ago, and can never forget. As Curly, who was class president that year, noted in the 2001 issue:
"The history of the News Letter is a tribute to Bob, who envisioned it back in 1988, got it started the following year, acquired the know-how to produce it, gave it the devotion and sheer hard work needed to develop material, edit and computerize the draft and finally to motivate classmates and associates to participate - the sine qua non for the finished product - over 13 (for the class) lucky years."
Sadly, Bob left us early this year, and his plans for a 2003 edition fell by the wayside. The need for this kind of communication however, continues, and the small staff of the "33 Tiger Cub News" wants to provide something along that line, albeit on a much less ambitious scale and with the bar on the high jump set much lower. Even that objective cannot be reached without help in the form of contributed material from classmates and associates. If this small effort is to succeed, your participation can be most helpful. Recollections, anecdotes, photos, recent news are all welcome Please mail to:
