1958's 50th Reunion
May 29-June 1, 2008

September 4, 2008

A magnificent package arrived from Nevada - Jean Harmon, widow of John, who passed away shortly before his 75th Reunion, sent John's jacket and hers, as well as the ties from '33. We had built up a wonderful relationship over the years. Regular readers of this website know we reproduced the newspaper that John wrote for his Class here. It can still be found in our archives.

The association to '33 has truly been magnificent. They are fading away, and unfortunately no one could come to the P-rade for their 75th Reunion. They were an extraordinary group of people, and there are just a few of them left.

September 4, 2008

Here are more excerpts from the wonderful letters we received on the 50th. We appeciate the kind expressions. There were far too many for all of them to be reproduced here, but here are just a few:

"I want to thank you and congratulate you on a truly wonderful experience."

"I'm listening to the CD by the Treme Brass Band that I purchased at the Reunion and thinking about the wonderful 50th Reunion you organized and managed. What an achievement!"

"Our 50th was a spectacular success. The turnout was extraordinary, as was the enthusiasm. The New Orleans theme, the food, and bands were exceptional!"

"What a fabulous reunion you organized. I heard nothing but compliments on the bands, the food, and the overall joy that pervaded our 50th."

August 25, 2008

Here are some of the wonderful notes sent to us regarding the reunion.

From one of our GREAT Undergraduate Staff:

Just wanted to thank you again for the oppurtunity to work the 50th Reunion. I had a wonderful time and I think you did a spectacular job. I also appreciate all of your and Gail's consideration throughout the whole thing.

No, this is not a delayed email seeking information about a reunion to come. Nor is it a complaint about the reunion that passed or a silly recommendation about a reunion to come. It's just to say what a splendid job you did. Congrats!

My wife and I were delighted with the Reunions. In fact, on our way home, we saw my wife's sister who informed us she was one of three chairpersons for the Barnard 50th coming up in five years. It takes three at Barnard to do what you did for our Reunion.

Again thank you for the tremendous job.

I was in Princeton today and I walked back through our Reunion site. The walk brought back many memories. Again many thanks for all that you did to make this once in a lifetime experience possible.

What a stupendous reunion! You and your committee did yourselves proud. It was simply wonderful. Phyllis and I-two of our five daughters and six of our ten grandchildren showed up at one time or another and the younger group had as much fun as the old folks. Congratulations again old friend for a great job.

Prue Stuhr was kind enough to send along some of the photos she took at the reunion. We've put them up in a gallery here.

Also, we hope you saw the Princeton Alumni Weekly has a whole set of great images, and even some video of the reunion. Click here to see the video, and here for the PAW reunion highlight page.

Letters and e-mails about the Reunion keep pouring in. It is very gratifying to read what fellow Classmates have written. We will try to answer each correspondent, and would also like to get permission to quote some of the comments on the Website so that you can read some of them. We would also like to receive permission to show some of the wonderful pictures that have been sent in.

There is no question that Princeton has not seen anything like our 50th Reunion, nor probably ever will again. What we did by helping the people of New Orleans, by doing something "In the Nation's Service", besides throwing one great party, made this extremely fulfilling for our sponsors and for everyone who worked on it.

When the recordings of the bands and the Memorial Service from this event have finally been sent out to you, we are sure you will listen to them with tremendous enjoyment for a very long time.

We want to leave this page up till the end of the month, so you can go back if you choose to and see how this whole Reunion was put together. And here's a reprint of what Bruce Carrick wrote in the jacket of our 50th Reunion yearbook which you received last December- so you see we kind of knew exactly what would happen-and I guess it did!

"David: I wrote this copy for the Yearbook's jacket flap some seven or eight months ago, then trying to envision what the scene of our 50th might be like. Rereading it yesterday, I thought it turned out to capture the atmosphere of the event very well.

"Among the most colorful and well-attended events of the [2008] reunions was the Class of 1958's Fiftieth Reunion celebration. With the theme of 'New Orleans Comes to Princeton,' the gathering was held amid the the gothic precincts surrounding Blair Arch. In that congenial setting, some 400 members of the Class thronged, clad in their distinctive orange-and-black blazers and accompanied by a cheerful crowd of wives, friends, children and grandchildren. In the courtyards, classmates reconnected and reminisced. And in the evenings they dined, drank, sang, cheered, and danced away the brief reunion hours, all to the familiar and mellow sounds of classic New Orleans tunes played and sung by some of the Crescent city's very best musicians . . ."

Maybe I should become a fortune-teller,

Bruce

April 20, 2008

Please note: there are no more orders for new Class jackets being taken at this time. We are asking any Classmate with an extra jacket from past years to bring it to the Reunion to use as a "loaner" to another Classmate.

We finished the contracts today for our caterer, Nassau Street Catering, who will be providing fine food service for our entire event. They are extraordinary and the level of service and dining will be elevated dramatically over what you might have been used to. We are very proud of this, and hope that the participation of our great New Orleans chefs will further enhance the experience. We have not completely "sealed the deal" with all the chefs from New Orleans, as we are happy to report that they are currently so busy in New Orleans that they might not have the opportunity to travel up to New Jersey for a few days. When we first started the project of "New Orleans Comes to Princeton" most of these people had no employment at all and dreamed of the possibility of some work anywhere they could get it. That has thankfully changed and if some are unable to attend, we not only would understand, but would be extremely happy for them. There are interesting notes for many in the Class Dated April 2nd on our News Notes Page.

Here is a little "Teaser" of what will happen starting on May 29th.

Because there is so much to schedule, and because once we write it we can't change it, we usually wait till 30 days before The Reunion to set it in Print. There are two things that are set-The Memorial Service and The Class Picture. The rest is still being scheduled, but here is a taste of it:

The registration desk will open at 11 am on Thursday. The Hot Club of New Orleans will be on hand starting at noon. They are a wonderful way to start to hear and see the sights of New Orleans.

Lunch will be served with a New Orleans theme.

The Alumni Faculty Forums will start early on and we tell you about them as soon as we receive the information from the University.

Thursday evening we will have a great cocktail party, then a superb dinner with entertainment for dancing and or your listening pleasure.

We hope to have a tour of the entire new campus for those who have not seen it. It is being scheduled shortly with University Architects.

Most importantly, at 10:30 am Friday is the Memorial Service, held in the Chapel. We are planning to have a most memorable event, where the name of every person in our Class who has passed away will be read aloud.

Students who have come from all over the world, The Davis Scholars, will tell of their Princeton experience that was made possible by the generosity of our own Shelby Davis. We have not scheduled the time and date for that event yet.

The New Orleans experience:

You will have the opportunity to meet and talk to people who were so deeply affected by Hurricane Katrina. You will hear some moving stories.

Saturday morning, we will assemble for the Class picture at11: 50AM in Blair Arch. We look forward to every person being there. This will be the last “really big picture” of our Class.

Music:

There is a huge amount of talent coming from New Orleans, from the outstanding New Leviathan Foxtrot Orchestra to the Treme Brass Band, the best of their genre. You will be amazed at what you hear. It is every style, all by superb musicians, and this will be the largest aggregation of musicians at any Princeton Reunion ever. And for those of you who want quiet areas we have plenty of those too! This will be the first occasion where The Class of 1958 demonstrates, as a whole, “Princeton in The Nation’s Service” by having people with us, and employing them, who have literally been through hell, and giving them the venue to express their fantastic abilities.

I have had the distinct privilege of viewing the first copies off the press of our yearbook. It is truly amazing! Bruce Carrick has done an extraordinary job. You will be getting your copy shortly - they are being mailed out this coming Friday.

I cannot say enough for the magnificent job Bruce has done, his tremendous attention to detail throughout; the final product makes it all worth while. We hope that this gives you an idea of what the 50th Reunion is going to be like - excellent in every way. We are giving it the same sort of attention that Bruce has given the yearbook. We might add that Bruce is working on additional projects for the Reunion. He is a phenomenal guy to work with.

November 27, 2007

On Friday, November 30, 2007, your copy of the 50th Reunion Yearbook will be sent to you in time for Christmas, much as we had hoped. This will be a fine addition to your holiday season, and should certainly inculcate the wish to make sure you send in your check that you registered for your phenomenal 50th Reunion. The Yearbook will be an example of the kind of things that you are going to see there.

We have a tremendous outpouring of good feelings as the Reunion gets closer and closer. This Thursday November 29th , the entire Reunion Committee is meeting in Princeton to get into higher gear, to keep moving forward, to try to set records for attendance, and make sure that we are absolutely on-schedule with everything, just as we are with the Yearbook !.

October 28, 2007

You'll notice under "News Notes" that we are looking for more volunteers to help out with this major undertaking for our 50th Reunion. If you have a particular skill, or are just eager to work with the Class, we need you! Please see the News page for contact information.

Blair

September 24th, 2007

At 12:30 pm today, Margaret Miller, Director of the Alumni Association of Princeton, called and broke the news to me that we are being assigned Blair for our Reunion site.

This was somewhat disappointing as we were hoping to use our 50th Reunion to present Whitman College to the entire University, but this location could actually work out better for our Class. Blair is well up-campus, making it easier for class members to attend various functions (such as the P-rade, Alumni Faculty Forum, and memorial service,) and get to places such as Nassau Street, etc. In addition, an alternate courtyard is being opened, so that we may have access to quiet spaces and places for smaller bands right at our Reunion site. It would also be to our advantage that the site is quite level and familiar to members of the Class. It is a beautiful area, and although our hearts had been set on Whitman as the newest beautiful building on campus, Blair should work out very well for us.

The Reunion Committee will be meeting this weekend, and will visit the area and go over it very carefully. We will start to redesign our plans to fit into Blair's parameters. With the additional courtyard areas, we hope to be able to have all the musicians from New Orleans that were originally scheduled.

Actually, as I said above, Blair has some advantages over Whitman, so we will move forward with our plans to make this the best Reunion Princeton has ever seen.

August 23, 2007

What an astounding night it was at 925 North Robertson in New Orleans last night. The music was fantastic, the appreciation of all who attended was palpable, and The Treme Brass Band was amazing. When we talk of the great good we are doing at our 50th for many people who were devastated by Katrina, this event-where the people in tough circumstances could laugh and dance says it all. We should be very proud of what 58 is doing for our Reunion when these wonderful people come to Princeton in late May to entertain us, and we in turn are doing something for them. You will meet people who still live in tiny Trailers, who have lost everything, but fight back with their wonderful ability to create great music in order to regain the life they had. Wait till you meet them-you might even cry with joy.

August 8, 2007

The opportunity for us to all look great at our fiftieth is enhanced by a recent notice from Paul Fredrick (www.PaulFredrick.com look under "Clearance) for a great buy on white bucks on sale now for $79.50. Get them while they last (or call 800 247 1417) as these are derigueur for our extraordinary Reunion!

July 4, 2007

Thank you for all your questions on housing. Bear Kinkead and I (Ed Metcalf) appreciate having so much interest long before our 50th reunion. Our 50th reunion will be the Great Class of 1958’s greatest reunion and just possibly the greatest reunion Princeton has ever seen.

If you have not already done so, please copy, complete, including whether you need housing, the above Registration Form, and mail it with your Registration Fee to Irwin Silverberg. We continue to allocate housing on a first-pay, first-serve basis.

If you are interested in beds on campus or at the Theological Seminary and have not already told us, Copy, complete, and send the completed Housing Form and appropriate Fee to Irwin Silverberg. The University will not allocate beds on campus, tell us where, how many, or their cost until September 2007. The Seminary will not tell us if we have any beds, how many, or their cost until they do their allocation in the second half of August.

We have sold all the “special deal” rooms at The Nassau Inn and Hyatt Regency. If you are interested, you can still try for rooms by telephoning their reservation desks, 609-921-7500 and 609-987-1234, respectively, and make your own arrangements directly.

Your housing co-chairs recommend the Lakeside (formerly Merrill Lynch and Harrison) Conference Center. Classmates who stayed there for our 45th reunion were pleased, and room “soft goods” were replaced by 2/07. The cost, which includes full buffet breakfast, internet service, plenty of room for informal gatherings, and other options, is $249 per night for either two queen beds or one king, minimum two nights, excluding incidentals and 15% taxes. The Center is 4 miles from campus just off Route One. The University will operate a shuttle between Lakeside and campus. If you are interested, make your reservations directly by telephoning 609-936-4200, say Class of 58 PU reunion. Check cancellation terms.

Other commercial housing is listed on the Area Hotel/Motels Form. The University shuttle operates between those on Route One and campus. If you are interested in one of these locations, make your own reservations directly. Verify all terms and conditions.

Princeton reunions now draw over 20,000 people, five times as many as the next largest college reunions. Rooms in the area are fully booked and sell at a premium for this peak weekend. We can not encourage you enough to obtain your housing early and before cut-off dates. For best results coordinate your housing with friends so you spend extra time with them. Your housing co-chairs stand ready to find space during the last month, but you may have to compromise.

Please telephone or e-mail either of your Housing Co-chairs, Bear Kinkead or Ed Metcalf, if you have any questions.

With less than a year to go, we are really in full gear for our 50th. The process was started 2 years ago, and we're now down to the final third. Here's where the pace really picks up. A large number of people have already registered, and we strongly suggest to those who have not yet registered that you do so soon. Rooms are being assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. We've already sold out some places, and predict an extraordinarily high attendance. Please call your friends and classmates and encourage them to register soon. We really are looking forward to seeing almost every single member of the Class of 58 at this very joyous occasion.

June 4, 2007

The Hyatt Regency Hotel in Princeton is sold out for next year's Reunion. Please contact Lodging Chairs Bear Kinkead (408) 867-3554 or Ed Metcalf (609) 921-2386 with any questions concerning Reunion housing.

June 4, 2007

Vitaliy Elbert '09 (Undergraduate Staff Manager ), Brian Telesmanich '09 (Bar Manager) , and Walter Hopkins '09 (Band Liason;Entertainment) were all over the campus while they worked at this year's Reunions looking for good additions to their staff. They found them, and now that we are down to only one year until our 50th in 2008, we are ready to go into full action mode. The staff already has their beautiful shirts, designed specifically for them in New Orleans. They will be worn on Campus all next year as part of our message of " New Orleans Comes to Princeton".

The Class of 1957 did a wonderful job with their Reunion all around, and made all of us in the Class of '58 feel very welcome. Many thanks to each member of their team.

Now it will be our job in 2008 (which we would do anyway , of course) to treat them and the other satellite classes just as nicely as we were treated.

April 24, 2007

We have just finished a wonderful round of meetings with our Reunion Committee and then with our Undergraduate Team. We went through the magnificent results to date of our registrations-probably an all time record-which bodes very well to our attendance next year. Jim Farrin reported on his teams excellent work in getting Classmates to send in their Sketches. And then we went through all aspects of what is planned for our Reunion in 2008. This will be an outstanding event-nothing like what has been done before, and the group is very excited about what is ahead. Our planning and execution process is well ahead of the curve-that says it all.

March 26th, 2007

We have made an AMAZING COUP by prepaying for a block of 50 rooms at The Hyatt. This offers Classmates an extraordinary rate at The Hyatt, the perfect and most convenient location for our Big Event. It is the best deal you will get by far, and they are excellent accommodations. Readers of this site who have already registered or register before the mailing goes out next week and request this have the first choice. There are only 40 rooms left, so grab this while you can!

March 11th, 2007

As of today, 67 classmates have paid and registered for our Reunion, and are in line for the best selection of rooms. In late March, a letter concerning the 50th Reunion will be mailed to the entire class, which should significantly increase the number of registrants. Regular readers of this website have an opportunity to get ahead of the crowd. We strongly suggest you do this as soon as you can.

We are thrilled with the response so far. We may set a new record in 50th Reunion Registrations!

February 19th, 2007

One of the challenges we have in preparing The 50th Reunion is choosing Bands for The P-rade. We are in the middle of Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and we're really looking at all these groups that go by. There are many of them, but the only ones, so far, that would be good enough are The Marine Corps Bands-there are a few of them here. I hope in the next two days we see others good enough to consider for the trip to Princeton for Reunions in 2008. The Marine Corps would be great, but they are not easy to pin down for a date. We'll see what happens.

January 28, 2007

If you have been following our Reunion planning progress on this website you know how much work and planning have already been done for our 50th in 2008. The spirit of the Reunion Committee members along with the undergraduates who are part of the team is wonderful to see. This should be a record breaking event in Princeton Reunion history.

As you are aware, 50 people from our Class came to New Orleans April 3, 2006, as one of the first large groups to visit after Katrina. Each person was overwhelmed with the spirit of New Orleans. The theme of that meeting was "Princeton Comes to New Orleans." Practically every person was totally enthused at the suggestion that the theme of our 50th Reunion be "New Orleans Comes to Princeton." Innumerable class members have come forward to sponsor celebrity chefs, the music of New Orleans, and many other aspects of this Reunion that will help make it so very special. The most important part of this is having YOU there. This is the "Big One" for our Class, and will be, as promised, a Reunion the likes of which Princeton has never seen before.

December 23rd, 2006

Last Night Hayley Crowell '08, Ben Bologna '10, and Walter Hopkins '08 (Our Band Liason Manager) were out at The Spotted Cat in New Orleans looking at and listening to The Panorama Jazz Band to help decide if the band should be invited to come to Princeton in 2008 for our 50th. Later (at Lola's-a real local favorite) these three New Orlineans discussed what other things we should do to bring the flavor and local color of The Crescent City up to Princeton. Your humble servant "tagged along" to listen to these three really great members of The Undergraduate Staff for our Reunion in 2008 as they let their imaginations soar.

December 1st, 2006

As you begin to think about where you want to stay at our 50th,  we hope you notice today's News Note  on our News Page.

Our Reunion will probably (we do not have an assignment yet) be  far away from Nassau Street, and Reunions now attract a huge amount of people. Parking is a major problem. There is excellent free shuttle bus service up and down Route One, and that will bring you right to the "Dinky" Station which will be as short walk to where we are. Since we are giving first choice of rooms to those who register first, you might want to consider all of this when you ask for room assignments. We already have a number of checks in the bank (see the October 26th News Note below this) from early registrants (even though we still haven't published the form) who are already at the front of the line!

November 20th, 2006

Our Readers will note on our regular News Page we talked about The Davis Scholars a few days ago. A fair amount of these extraordinary people from all over the world will join us as undergraduate staff at our 50th. It was pretty obvious when we met them that this would enhance what we are trying to achieve, and these people were great candidates. When you join us in 2008 you will see the country and city they come from imprinted on the name tag of each member of the staff. It will be quite impressive.

October 26th, 2006

You'll note in the newsnote of October 19th that Jim Adler was the first person to sign up for our Reunion. This happened while Jim was visiting in New Orleans, and he wanted to make sure he had his choice of any places that the Class had reserved, and I said the way to do that was to be earliest in the order of registration. He immediately gave me a check. We will be putting up our application form on this website soon, but if you want to get an early place in line, send $550 per classmate and $250 per significant other to Irwin Silverberg at Burnham Securities, Inc. 1325 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10019. We'll get the room requests forms to you shortly, but your place is line is determined by the receipt of your registration fee.

October 5th, 2006

We just had another meeting of the entire Reunion Committee with a good number of undergraduate staff in attendance. They are a great group! We accomplished a great deal, set a lot of goals for our next get-together, and each individual manager gave a progress report as to where they are. Many people are really making great strides.

We would suggest that any of you who have not sent in your yearbook bio and check should do so as soon as possible. It may seem a long way in advance, but we are publishing the yearbook for you to have in your hands by Christmas 2007, and this is what is takes to do it. What a great introduction to our Reunion, and it will give you a picture of the entire class as it is today. It will also bring back memories of what it was like 50 years ago. Bruce Carrick is doing a superb job!

September 27th, 2006

It's Déjà vu all over again!" Yogi Berra said that, and here's another example of it:

Some weeks ago I received a note from Bob Brown, where he asked us to considerer some "Real" rock and roll for our upcoming 50th Reunion. I have said for many years that we are trying to do just that. We could really use some solid leads to rock and roll groups that are still performing. So many members of those groups people have suggested are quite dead. I told Bob that there is one that I know of from Louisiana who is still alive and kicking: Jerry Lee Lewis. We would need a sincere promise of significant sponsorship to be able to have him at our Reunion.

Here's the déjà vu part: Just yesterday in USA Today there was an excellent lengthy article about Jerry Lee Lewis, who is making a long-awaited comeback. The fact that we had just talked about him a few days before is the connection!

By the way, I remember about 20 years ago seeing Jerry Lee perform in New Haven, and he picked me out as the only person his age in the audience, and the only one who understood what he was doing ! He threw a t-shirt off the stage and said "Give it to that guy!"

We really are trying very hard and looking everywhere we can think of to get this kind of music. We actually had hired a great one, but unfortunately the leader - Scott Thomas - passed away just a few months ago. He was a great guy. Unfortunately there are very few really good rock and roll musicians still around .

September 17th, 2006

Harry Miner just flew back home after a really "intense and complete" tour of New Orleans for 5 nights and 5 days. Harry loves good music and really enjoys fine cooking. He even took a course with the famous New Orleans Chef Frank Brigsten while he was here.

We went to meet the chefs who will be with us in 2008, and also went to Frenchman Street to see the musical groups that are great and many of whom will also join us in 2008. We visited The Maple Leaf Bar where yours truly first saw The Louisiana Repertory Jazz Ensemble who were with us at our Reunion over 30 years ago. They have since returned to Princeton many times with other classes. Last night we saw Joe Krown perform who is a fine candidate for a trip to Princeton. Call Harry to see what he has to say!

July 7th, 2006
We intend to have a Reunion for the Class of 1958, the likes of which Princeton has never seen.  We have worked diligently to get funding for some great musicians and chefs of New Orleans to come and meet you. You are sure to have an experience that you will never forget.
Here are just a few of the things that will make this Reunion so special:

June 25th, 2006
With the postcard being sent now to every member of The Class of 1958, we are starting our sign up and informational procedure open for everyone. Many have already been very supportive in sponsoring major events for our 50th, and we look forward to more of you doing that. Please contact the Reunion Chair with your thoughts and good intentions. The music for our 50th comes from every aspect of New Orleans, and will include the very music you heard in the 50's and if we could have him back, Bill Haley would even be there. Unfortunately he is not available that weekend-or any other weekend for that matter. We are working to get Jerry Lee Lewis there, but for that we need a sponsor; interested? We need all your input now, and we need sponsors now to make this the most extraordinary 50th Princeton has ever seen. As Al Jolson used to say: "You Ain't Seen Nothin Yet!"

April 28th, 2006
The second large meeting of the 50th Reunion Committee was held on April 22 in The Frist Campus Center. Natalie Kim is sending us the notes from that, and we will be telling you more about it as we go along. We are really starting to roll now, and Jim Farrin expects to have the first publicity letter to you before Labor Day. We look forward to that.

We were most pleased that a lot of our undergraduate Reunion team was there: Natalie Kim, Vitaliy Ebert - the 2008 representative to our class, Mick Hagan - our website manager, and Brian Telesmanich - who is going to be in charge of all bars and service at the Reunion.

Bruce Carrick presented a report telling how far along he was, and Irwin Silverberg was happy to announce that he has already received quite a few checks for the Yearbook . We are running close to some of those deadlines, so we look forward to receiving yours if you have not already sent it.

Hugh Fairman brought us up to date on all the information that Lockie Proctor has gleaned as far as food services and where we are with that. John Kuhlthau asked that the group start to set goals and dates, and we look forward to that. Bern Deichman went through a number of the issues that he saw as difficult ones when he was running the 45th, and suggested some ways that we might overcome them.

On January 14th a good sized delegation from our class will go to a big planning meeting being held by Princeton to explain the mechanics of putting on a Reunion. Because many on our committee have never been involved in this before, it should be very valuable. The time is drawing closer for our big event, as it now is about 2 and a half years till opening night and much has been done already, and the pace is starting to pick up. Over the 8 years this site has been operating we have reported on many of these meetings and the complexities of planning for an event of this size. We hope that by 2008 all the work and experience comes together to give you the best one ever. And do have a Happy New Year!

Meeting with more and more members of The Class of 2008 is truly an invigorating experience. We have seen them at various functions, the most recent one was today at a Regional Alumni Association luncheon in New Orleans where they were outstanding in both their demeanor and their real interest in Princeton as an evolving entity. They will all join us at our 50th Reunion as we welcome them as brand new alumni, and you will see how far Princeton has come in 50 years.

The Class is very graced to have among us some individuals who have already come forward and are sponsoring parts of what will be one of the most outstanding Reunions that Princeton has ever seen. To put on an event of this magnitude we need special friends to do this, and we are very grateful for their generosity. We look forward to more of you stepping up to the plate so we can give everyone an event that they will never forget.

We are happy to announce that the Undergraduate Chair of our reunion has been selected-you can see who it is on our "Chair" list. We also have our first staff member, and will soon have our Assistant Undergraduate Chair. These are very special people who were selected after a number of interviews of many undergraduates. We will start training them in the very near future, and by 2008 they will be really ready to give you the best Reunion imaginable.

Like what you hear? At our 50th Reunion you will see some astounding musicians. As we go along here, you'll see more of them listed on these pages over the next few years. One who is sure to be there is Dan Levinson, one of the most brilliant clarinetists around. And if you want to hear some more of his artistry, go to his web page: www.danlevinson.com and then click on "Sample Album Tracks" on the left. You will enjoy hearing them all, and the ones (like the one on this page) from his newest album "Crinoline Days" will knock your socks off.
