October 10, 2007 HOUSING FOR 1958’S 50TH REUNION (Thursday, May 29th through Sunday, June 1st, 2008).

We have blocked beds on campus, a few at the Westminster Choir College, rooms at Wyndham Princeton Forrestal (formerly Lakeside) Conference Center, and at other motels/hotels in the area.  They are in a range of quality and prices.

Campus:  We will have over 100 beds on campus for 1958 classmates and their followers.  The cost is $105 per bed flat for three nights.  The beds are in single, double, triple, and quadruple rooms in Blair, Joline, and Campbell dormitories.  These dorms have one single sex bathroom per floor and no air-conditioning.  If you have not returned a Housing Form for a campus bed and if you want to be on campus, please indicate your choice on the Housing Form and mail with your payment.  We will request a refundable $50 deposit the key and another $50 deposit for the linen when you register.

Westminster Choir College:  We have blocked a few beds at the Choir College, about one mile from campus.  They have two bunk beds per room for $210 flat for three nights ($280 for four nights, share bathrooms, and are not air-conditioned.  If you are interested in the Choir College, indicate your choice on the Housing Form and mail with your payment.  We will require a $50 deposit for the key and another $50 for the linen when you register.

Wyndham Princeton Forrestal (formerly Lakeside, Harrison, and Merrill Lynch) Hotel and Conference Center:  Wyndham is about 4 miles from campus just off Route One on the northbound side.  We plan a 1958 shuttle service for peak periods, and the University runs shuttle busses along Route One for all reunions.  We have blocked 100 rooms with either two queens or one king at $250 per night, minimum two nights, excluding 15% sales and occupancy taxes and incidentals.  The $250 includes full buffet breakfast, Internet service, plenty of room for informal gatherings, and fitness options.  Wyndham is replacing hard goods and redoing certain public areas before year-end 2007.  The soft goods were replaced in 2/07.   If this is your choice, telephone 609-936-4200, say Class of 58 PU reunion, and make your reservations directly.  The cut-off date is 3/3/08.

Area Hotels / Motels:  The Area Hotel/Motel List shows a range of possibilities as of September 2007 for May 2008.  We have blocked, in addition to Wyndham, 10 rooms at Clarion/Palmer, 15 at Comfort Inn, 10 at Courtyard Marriot Ewing and Princeton, 20 at Howard Johnson, 10 at Marriott Princeton @ Forrestal, and 5 at Marriott Residence North.  The University provides a shuttle service to the hotels along Route One.  In any case, you must make your own reservations and meet the deadlines.  Be sure to verify all terms and conditions including cancellation terms.

Reunions are increasingly popular for this peak weekend.  Hotels increase their rates and tighten their cancellation terms.  All the special deals for 1958 are taken at the Hyatt, Nassau Inn, and Seminary.    But you must act quickly.  Your Reunion Committee is not holding hotel/motel rooms after block off dates.  For best reunion time, coordinate you’re housing with your friends so you spend extra time with them.

Your Housing Co-chairs Bear Kinkead, and Ed Metcalf are ready to help.  If you have any questions, they welcome your e-mails or telephone calls.
