On this west of Times Square walk, we will explore the fascinating lives and careers of such legends as Barbra Streisand, Ethel Merman, Mary Martin, Carol Channing and Mae West. We will hear anecdotes and sing musical theater songs while viewing the exterior architecture of various Broadway theaters. We will also discuss controversial gay themed shows that appeared on Broadway in the early 20th century and visit the location of a legitimate BroadwayÊhouse named after a female impersonator.
The tour is approximately 2Êhours and include informational handouts, a raffle, and prizes.
Rain cancels.
Your tour guide Sharon has been leading tours for various groups for over 8 years. She is a Recreation Therapist, Associate Park and Recreation Professional with the New York State Recreation and Park society, a docent for The Queens Historical society and a performer in community theater productions.

If your school has an LGBT alumni association, we will share your information with them unless you request otherwise.
