We are pleased to announce another special event hosted by the associations
for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) alumni of Princeton,
Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, and Harvard especially with our African
American and other black lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered alumni in
mind. Our first one back in the spring was a tremendous success with over
50 black and African American alumni attending.
The Zinc Bar is one of New York's special secrets. It's a pleasant space
that's conducive to conversation with an excellent bar. At 9:00 pm, there
will be live music. There is no cover to stay for the show for people who
are in the bar prior to 9 pm. We expect that there will be a program of
jazz music following our event. Check Zinc Bar's Web site at http://www.zincbar.com closer to the date
to see who will be playing! The bar is close to a number of subway
stations, including the Houston Street, West Fourth Street, Prince Street
and Bleecker Street stations.
For this event, we welcome all LGBT alumni and students from the Ivy League
and Seven Sisters Schools, as well as our friends from NYU, UVA, Duke,
Georgetown, Williams and Stanford.... In particular we invite our African
American and other black LGBT alumni, as well as their friends and partners.
We thank our hosts FFR/Princeton BTGALA's Shawn Cowls, Gary King of
FFR/Princeton BTGALA and the Association of Black Princeton Alumni (ABPA),
ABPA's Kenneth Bruce, Dartmouth GALA's Garrett Hornsby, Harvard GLC's George
Byars, Jason McGill of Cornell GALA and the Cornell Black Alumni
Association, and Herbert Harriott of the Black Ivy Alumni League and
Columbia Pride.
To subscribe to our events newsletter, use our RSVP Form.
If your school has an LGBT alumni association, we will share your
information with them unless you request otherwise.
