The Spring production of School Scandal was an incredible experience, so the
Ivy and Seven Sisters LGBT alumni groups are bringing you back for what will
no doubt be an unforgettable production of Marlowe's Edward II.
Will love survive the jealous fury of an intolerant nation? See the true
story of a King who defied his Queen and his Country to pursue his passion
for a common man. This riveting tale of the struggle for the heart of a King
is filled with twists and turns that will surprise and tantalize. Are we
free to follow our hearts? Can conventional power and unconventional passion
share a throne, or must the ensuing tension tear a leader and his country
apart?
Join us for a wonderful production of a rarely performed masterpiece,
followed by a cocktail party and reception with the talented (and gorgeous)
cast! Out cast members and Queen's Company board members include NYU's
Lauren Jill Ahrold, Berkeley's Shanti Elise Prasad, Brown's Kate Bornstein,
Smith's Barbara Carrellas. Out Queen's Company leadership includes UCLA's
Rebecca Patterson and Virginia Baeta, and SUNY Binghamton's DeeAnn Weir.
Thanks also to our hosts Shawn Cowls of FFR/Princeton BTGALA and Suzy Kandel
of Dartmouth GALA!
Like all of our events, all are welcome, but we especially welcome LGBT
alumni from the ivy league and seven sisters schools, as well as our friends
from Stanford, NYU, UVA, Duke, Williams, and Georgetown University. Feel
free to bring your friends, boyfriends and girlfriends!
The Queen's Company delivers the classical theatre you want to see: edgy,
hip, sexy, dangerous and delightful. For three years our all-female company
has given you strong women, great acting, and a superb story well told.
There's a reason critics are saying, "Sumptuous, sassy and smart, The Queen's
Company has a zesty sexy woman's indie aesthetic that's not afraid of pop
culture, camp, lesbian heat, or (gasp!) sexiness." HX Magazine.
For more information about the Queen's Company, visit their website at

To subscribe to our events newsletter, use our RSVP Form.
If your school has an LGBT alumni association, we will share your information with them unless you request otherwise.
