Come bring in the New Year with our amazing group of LBT women.
Thanks to all of you who made our 2004 women's events such a great
success and so much fun! Come out and join us as we celebrate a new
year and continue to grow our already impressive network of women!
We are pleased to welcome GLAAD's own Margaret Crisostomo (UCLA '94) at
this event. A southern California native (like yours truly), Margaret
is one of the incredible forces behind GLAAD's most exciting event of
the year, the 16th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, presented by Absolut
Vodka. The GLAAD Media Awards raises the lion's share of GLAAD's funds
for the year and celebrates ground breaking lgbt images in the media.
As we anticipate significant and potentially groundbreaking developments
around LGBT relationships, GLAAD is poised to play a pivotal role in
ensuring fair and favorable representation of the LGBT community in the
media. We also hope to have one or more of the other women of GLAAD in
attendance and may even have a well-known special guest, so don't miss
this event! For more information about the event, visit GLAAD's website
at http://www.glaad.org/events/mediaawards/.
We invite Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered women alumnae from the
Ivy League and Seven Sisters schools, Stanford, UVA, NYU, Georgetown,
Northwestern, and our friends from other schools to join in. Look for me
and come mix it up with us!
