The circus's metaphor of whimsy, pathos and the unexpected is the place
of departure for RED, a journey through the memory of the Master of
Ceremonies to encounter long stored escapades from his travels. Red
features an active volcano, jugglers, a collage of music and a whimsy of
costumes, props and special effects from the hue of red.
At the end of the performance we will be treated to a Question / Answer
session with the choreographer, Errol Grimes.
We welcome LGBT alumni from the Ivy League and Seven Sisters schools,
Stanford, and UC Berkeley as well as their partners and friends! We
especially welcome our alumni of color at this special event. Thanks to
our hosts Shawn Cowls of FFR/Princeton BTGALA and Garrett Hornsby of
Dartmouth GALA and the Black Alumni of Dartmough Association, James
Crowder of Columbia Pride, and Ken Bruce of the Association of Black
Princeton Alumni. We hope to organize a gathering afterwards - check
our website below for additional details as we get closer.
The Errol Grimes Dance Group seeks to explore contemporary dance and
themes that are informed by an American and Afro-West Indian
perspective. For more information, visit their website at
http://www.egdance.org/
To subscribe to our events newsletter, use our RSVP Form.
If your school has an LGBT alumni association, we will share your information with them unless you request otherwise.
