Our tag-team girl-band show was so much fun last fall, we decided to do
it again, this time at Drom NYC, the East Village's swank new lounge!!
Come see what fresh surprises are in store at this enticing venue (last
time, the bands made guest appearances during each others' sets for
extra thrills). If you haven't heard the Biddies yet, they're fabulous
players with great compositions plus intriguing takes on tunes you
thought you already knew, all delivered in beauteous vocal harmonies as
well as hilarity, poignancy, and spontaneous glamour. Klezbos just might
feature a truly exotic instrument too. And we hear the food is as
fabulous as the atmosphere here...
Isle of Klezbos at Drom features this stunning array:
Pam Fleming (Hazmat Modine, Burning Spear, RadioDread) - trumpet & flugelhorn
Debra Kreisberg (Los Mas Valientes, D'Tripp) - clarinet & alto saxophone
Saskia Lane (The Lascivious Biddies, Dan Zanes) - upright bass
Eve Sicular (Voodoobillies, Mazeltones) - drummer & bandleader
... with special guest Klezbians...
Patrick Farrell (Panorama Jazz Band, Staggerback Brass, Veveritse) - accordion
& Klezbos debut by singer Mira Stroika! http://myspace.com/mirastroika
Thanks to HGLC's Eve Sicular for hosting this event! We invite all of
our Ivy League, Seven Sisters, NYU Stanford, Duke, UVA, Georgetown and
Northwestern friends. Alumni, faculty, staff, and students that are over
21 are welcome.
