Summer is here in Austin and the heat has shown up early! Come cool down with a glass of white wine or experiment with a racy red at one of Austin's latest wine destinations - MAX's Wine Dive. Make some new acquaintances and catch up with old friends as well as your Austin/San Antonio FFR hosts Brian Smith (Stanford), Douglas Plummer (Harvard), Danny Ramon (Univ of Texas). Show your diversity by gathering with your LGBT university alums in the Austin/San Antonio area. Brian will wear a PINK shirt to make the group easy to find - look for us along the cocktail table banquette wall. And as always, please feel free to bring your friends and partners with you! We love a crowd...
Located in Convention Center district on San Jacinto Boulevard between 2nd and 3rd Street, MAX's is designed to be a laid-back and comfortable restaurant, MAX's blends a casual, industrial feel with a top-notch food and wine program. Serving "gourmet comfort food" and wines from around the world, MAX's mantra is "Fried Chicken and Champagne? Why the Hell Not?" On any given night, you can find a 20-something sitting at the bar next to a 60-something - each drinking the same Aussie Shiraz with the "Texas Haute Dog" and listening to killer tunes from the juke box. Learn what other Austinites think on Yelp! at: http://www.yelp.com/biz/maxs-wine-dive-austin (4/5 stars)
We welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered alumni from the Ivy League and Seven Sisters schools, University of Texas-Austin, Texas A&M, Stanford, and UC Berkeley as well as their partners and friends!
