New Lecture Series at Princeton University to Focus on Lesbian and Gay Issues, Featuring a World-wide Roster of Renowned Scholars

The Fund for Reunion, Inc. and Princeton University's LGBT Student Services are pleased to announce the inauguration of The Fund for Reunion LGBTQ Lecture Series, a program of lectures on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) topics.

The inaugural slate of lectures takes place over the course of the 2003/2004 academic year and will include twelve to fourteen lectures on LGBTQ topics, ten of which have been confirmed. In a unique collaboration with Yale University's Larry Kramer Initiative for Lesbian and Gay Studies, six of these lectures are being coordinated by the Larry Kramer Initiative and will be presented at both Princeton and Yale Universities.

Following is the current list of lectures planned for the 2003/2004 academic year. Lectures marked with an asterisk (*) will be presented at both Princeton and Yale on successive days. Lectures, at both Princeton and Yale, are open to the public at no charge.

The series was developed and is being administered by Debbie Bazarsky, Princeton University's LGBT Student Services Coordinator and Assistant to the Dean of Undergraduate Students, with assistance from: FFR President Shawn Cowls, Professor Mark Blasius, of CUNY, LaGuardia; and Jonathan D. Katz, Executive Coordinator of Yale's Larry Kramer Initiative. FFR is the primary source of funding. LGBT Student Services, the Frist Campus Center, and the Dean of Undergraduate Students, are also providing financial support.
