Financial Aid for Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Students: This section describes a number of scholarships available to lesbian, gay and bisexual students. These scholarships offer a variety of criteria for eligibility. This is not an exhaustive list of all the possible sources of scholarships.
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Scholarship Resources: The Pride Foundation funds organizations and scholarships in the Pacific Northwest states of Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Alaska
The Point Foundation: The Point Foundation is the first and only nationwide LGBT scholarship organization that focuses exclusively on granting assistance to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students of distinction. Point Scholars are chosen for their demonstrated leadership, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, involvement in the LGBT community and financial or emotional need.
Pride Foundation: The Pride Foundation funds organizations and scholarships in the Pacific Northwest states of Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Alaska

National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals, Inc: NOGLSTP is a national organization of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people (and their advocates) employed or interested in scientific or high technology fields. NOGLSTP's goals include dialogue with professional organizations, disseminating information, improving our members employment and professional environment, opposing anti-queer discrimination and stereotypes, educating the queer, scientific, and general communities, and fostering inter-city contacts among our members. The Network - New York City Gay & Lesbian Professional Organizations: The Network is organized to foster communication and cooperation among the New York City area's diverse lesbian and gay professional organizations. We hold networking and social events, with the participation of our member groups, to raise funds for donation to worthwhile nonprofit lesbian and gay social service organizations. We also sponsor educational forums and panels on subjects of interest and importance to our community.

6PC: 6PC is an international network of "gay professionals", established in the summer of 2001. Membership is free.
The purpose of the network is to create an international platform for the exchange of information, to get assistance on private or business matters, answers to questions, support, friendship.

Arlington Gay and Lesbian Alliance: The Arlington Gay & Lesbian Alliance (AGLA) is a nonpartisan organization that strives to improve the quality of life and meet the needs of the Gay and Lesbian community throughout Arlington. We are committed to creating an organization that reflects the diversity of the Arlington community and building relationships with business and civic groups and community leaders.
ASTRAEA Lesbian Foundation for Justice: The Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice is a national nonprofit public charity whose purpose is to advance the economic, political, educational and cultural well-being of lesbians. Astraea works to educate individuals about money, power and giving; to expand the community of donors supporting lesbian issues; and to raise and distribute funds to organizations, individuals and projects. Astraea's programs benefit lesbians, gay men and all women and girls both in the United States and internationally and works to eliminate racism, agism, sexism, heterosexism, economic exploitation and anti-Semitism.
Freedom To Marry: Freedom to Marry is the gay and non-gay partnership working to win marriage equality nationwide. Headed by Evan Wolfson, one of America's leading lesbian/gay rights advocates and lawyers, Freedom to Marry brings new resources and a renewed context of urgency and opportunity to this social justice movement. Freedom to Marry is a project of the ASTRAEA Lesbian Foundation for Justice.
Equality Forum (formerly PrideFest America): Since its founding in 1993, Equality Form, formerly PrideFest America, has become the nation's largest annual gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) symposium and festival. It has expanded from a three-day conference of regional organizations to a full week of events featuring international, national and regional leaders on a broad range of compelling issues. With an anticipated 60 programs and social events presented by 80 regional, national and international organizations, Equality Forum is internationally the most comprehensive programming about the GLBT community and its national and international civil rights aspirations.
Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD): The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of individuals and events in all media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

The Hetrick-Martin Institute: The Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) believes all young people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity, deserve a safe and supportive environment in which to achieve their full potential. HMI creates this environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth between the ages of 12 and 21 and their families. Through a comprehensive package of direct services and referrals, HMI seeks to foster healthy youth development. HMI's staff promotes excellence in the delivery of youth services and uses its expertise to create innovative programs that other organizations may use as models.
Human Rights Campaign: The Human Rights Campaign provides a national voice on gay and lesbian issues. The Human Rights Campaign effectively lobbies Congress; mobilizes grassroots action in diverse communities; invests strategically to elect a fair-minded Congress; and increases public understanding through innovative education and communication strategies.
HRC is a bipartisan organization that works to advance equality based on sexual orientation and gender expression and identity, to ensure that gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.

International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC): Founded in 1990, the International Gay & Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC), works to secure the full enjoyment of human rights based on sexual orientation or expression, gender identity or expression and/or HIV status.
International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA): The International Lesbian and Gay Association is a world-wide federation of national and local groups dedicated to achieving equal rights for lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgendered people everywhere.
Founded in 1978, it now has more than 350 member organizations. Every continent and around 80 countries are represented. ILGA member groups range from small collectives to national groups and entire cities.

Immigration Equality: The Lesbian and Gay Immigration Rights Task Force (LGIRTF) is a coalition of immigrants, attorneys and other activists that addresses the widespread discriminatory impact of immigration laws on the lives of lesbians, gay men and people with HIV through education, outreach and advocacy and by providing legal services, information, referrals, and support.

The Lesbian Health Research Center at University of California, San Francisco: The Lesbian Health Research Center (LHRC) is specifically and uniquely concerned with the health and well-being of lesbians, bisexual women, transgendered individuals, and their families, and with the health care available to them .
Drawing upon the research skills and experiences of a multidisciplinary group of UCSF faculty members and other nationally recognized scholars from across the United States, the Center’s work reflects a broad vision of health, illness, and wellness, and is committed to forging strong collaborations with community groups. A principal goal of the Center is to serve as an ongoing forum for bringing together health care researchers and concerned members of the lesbian, bisexual women’s, and transgendered communities.
MENY - Marriage Equality New York: Founded in New York City in February 1998, Marriage Equality New York, the founding chapter of the national organization, Marriage Equality USA, is a statewide, grass-roots organization committed to ending discrimination in civil marriage.

Servicemembers Legal Defense Network: Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN) is dedicated to ending witch hunts, death threats, imprisonment, lesbian- baiting, discharges and other discriminatory actions against men and women in the military harmed by 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Don't Pursue, Don't Harass,' and related policies, through direct legal assistance, watchdog activities, policy work, outreach and education, and litigation support.
Stonewall Community Foundation: Stonewall Community Foundation is the public charity for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) New York. Our mission is to promote the well-being of LGBT individuals and strengthen the LGBT community. Stonewall is dedicated to increasing charitable giving withing the community today while building a strong endowment for tomorrow. Founded in 1990, Stonewall manages approximately $1 million in assets of which $500,000 are endowed.
Whitman-Walker Clinic: Whitman-Walker Clinic is a non-profit community-based health organization serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region. Established by and for the gay and lesbian community, our Clinic is comprised of diverse volunteers and staff who provide or facilitate the delivery of high quality, comprehensive, accessible health care and community services. Whitman-Walker Clinic is especially committed to ending the suffering of all those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
The World Congress of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Jews - Keshet Ga'avah: The World Congress of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Jews: Keshet Ga'avah consists of more than 65 member organizations in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Mexico, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The World Congress holds conferences and workshops representing the interests of lesbian, gay, and bisexual Jews around the world. The focus of these sessions varies from regional, national, continental, to global.
