A recent University luncheon at Prospect House celebrated the ten scholarships given by the Class, Classmates and families, along with some of the 23 current undergraduate recipients. Attending were Al Abbotts, Bob Christensen, Stuart Duncan, Peter Erdman, Bill Haynes, Dave and Sally McAlpin, and Charlie Rose with Mila Goetz. Scholarship giving was praised. The diverse and talented students were a joy to all.

The Alumni Council has notified Al Abbotts that '50 has won the 1898 Trophy for the 2007-2008 academic year for the class with the highest percentage of members attending a gathering during the year between Reunions.. The award recognized the 11.9% of class members who attended our 25th mini reunion in Baltimore April 16 - 20, 2007.
Kudos are in orders for the Baltimore mini committee: Bo and Ellie Kelly who led the group, and Pas Mitchell,
Luke Hopkins and Bill Gilbert.

BOB PRICE '50
Bob died on Dec. 3, 2008. He had lived in Lexington, Mass., for 50 years. He came to Princeton from Penn Charter School. Bob majored in physic, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. He was Technical Director of WPRU. He had a doctorate from MIT, and was a Fulbright Fellow in Australia. Along with an impressive scientific resume, he became interested in the patent that Hedy Lamar and composer George Anthill received in 1942 related to secure communication. He visited Lamar in New York and she communicated with him for many years.

ROBERT K. PEARCE ‘50
Bob Pearce died on August 1, 2008. Bob graduated from Glen Ridge (N.J.) Hiigh School. He was in Theatre Intime and majored in History. He served in the Army in Korea. The only information we have about Bob after the tenth is that he was a longtime resident of Wayne, N. J. and did not marry.
