The Princeton Club of Southern Arizona October, 2001Greetings Fellow Tigers! We are looking forward to a great new 2001-2002 year. This fall, award winning garden designer Jeffrey Trent will be taking us on a tour through the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, it's Princeton vs. Yale for the football game, and Hugh '79 and Naomi '81 Miller will once again host our annual holiday party. In the spring, the Arizona Theatre Company's Playwright-in-Residence and nationally acclaimed playwright, Elaine Romero, will be reading from her works for us, we're sure to have a great luncheon at the Arizona Inn, and we'll be having other events as well! Our New Website The Princeton Club of Southern Arizona is online! Club information, past newsletters, activities, and special events will be published there on an on-going basis and accessible to anyone with a browser and an Internet connection. The site, currently under construction, will eventually include an alumni exchange and has links to TigerNet and Princeton University websites. Dues Your dues support newsletter mailings announcing our Club events. This includes our website registration ($200) and post office box ($24). Our treasury began the year with $700, very close to where we have begun each year since your current Treasurer has served. We need your support in order to keep having our events. Dues are:Classes of 1998 and later Free! Classes of 1997 and earlier (per household) $35 Dues are now payable for 2001-2002. Please participate by clicking the "membership" heading in our website, completing the form, and mailing your check payable to PCOSA to our post office box above (those without website access, simply mail your check). We sincerely thank you for your support! Fall 2001 Club Events Saturday, October 20, 2001 9:30-11:30am: Award-winning garden designer JEFFREY TRENT at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, 2021 North Kinney Road. Enjoy a walking tour followed by optional lunch. Please RSVP to byronmattingly87@yahoo.com or leave a message with Susan Jayroe '74 @ 299-7702. PCOSA members can receive a discounted admission ticket to the Desert Museum ($5; normal price $9.95; free for members of the Museum). Saturday, November 10, 2001 11am-2pm: PRINCETON vs. YALE football game viewing live via Satellite at Trophy's, a restaurant inside Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites, 5151 E. Grant Road. Game time is 11:00am; plan to arrive a few minutes before. No cost; optional food & beverage can be ordered off Trophy's menu. Dust off that Reunions jacket or uniform and show your colors with the rest of us! Saturday, December 15, 2001 2:30-5:30pm: OUR ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY . . . at Hugh ’79 and Naomi ’81 Miller’s beautiful home. Chamber music by the Tigress Trio: Naomi '81, Lindi ’76, and Susan ’74.
