The Young Alumni Committee of the Princeton Club of Philadelphia was awarded the 2004 Alumni Council Committee on Regional Associations Award for Innovation. Quoting from the letter, "This award recognizes regional organizations that have demonstrated innovation in programming and outreach. In particular, this year's award is in recognition of the PCOP Young Alumni Committee's efforts over the past few years to develop innovative programs and events that have dramatically enhanced interest and engagement of young alum in the Philadelphia and South Jersey areas." The Young Alumni of the Princeton Club of Philadelphia is an energetic group of alumni from the youngest 11 classes. The Young Alumni partake in many Club events and sponsor several events of their own.
Plans for the 2009-10 year include happy hours with other Ivy Young Alumni, opportunities for community service, a special chocolate tasting with the "T" of T-Sweets, and several private tours and gatherings.
While many events are open to all young alumni in the area, joining the Club guarantees that you are invited to all events and often provides membership discounts for them. Membership is free to members of the class of '09 and only $15 for the youngest ten alumni classes.
The YA Steering Committee is composed of young alumni of all ages and meets at a Center City location every 1-2 months to plan upcoming events. All young alumni are invited to join us for these planning meetings.
