Alumni School Committee (“ASC”)
The Princeton Alumni Association of Houston is proud to have one of the most outstanding Alumni Schools Committee programs in the nation. Our Schools Committee chair, Jim Cohen ‘86, is responsible for the success of this and is dedicated to the quality of the admissions process. Please contact Jim if you are interested in participating in interviews for any of the over 200 applicants to Princeton that our region produces every year.
Annual Giving
Houston can be very proud of its participation in financial support for Old Nassau through Annual Giving. Credit for this achievement goes to the donors themselves and to Dave Smith ’52, PAAH Annual Giving chairman. His attentive, effective stewardship of the local campaign is invaluable to its success.
Princeton Prize in Race Relations Program: Houston
In order to recognize, support, and encourage the young people of our country who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the cause of relations among the races, Princeton University is sponsoring an awards program for high school students -- the Princeton Prize in Race Relations. Princeton and its alumni recognize that the issue of race relations continues to be one of the most urgent and important challenges facing our country. We have created this program to identify and commend young people who are working to increase understanding and mutual respect among all races. Through the Princeton Prize we hope to encourage others to join in these or similar efforts and to undertake initiatives of their own. This program is administered by Houston area Princeton alumni on a volunteer basis, with funding for our local prize from Princeton University.
