Join fellow Princetonians for an afternoon of volunteering with KEEN (Kids Enjoy Exercise Now). KEEN is a non-profit organization that runs programs every Saturday for children (aka "athletes") with mental/physical disabilities, giving them the opportunity to work one-on-one with adult volunteers (aka "coaches") to gain self confidence through physical activity (but you don't have to be an athlete yourself to make a great coach for KEEN!). RSVP info is included below. We'll meet at 12:45pm on Saturday, March 10th, in the lobby of the East 54th Street Parks and Recreation Facility. There will be a brief orientation session, and we'll each receive an athlete 'profile' - and then we will assist the kids with sports and arts & crafts activities until 3:30 or 4pm.
KEEN is a national, nonprofit volunteer-led organization that provides one-to-one recreational opportunities for children and young adults with mental and physical disabilities at no cost to their families and caregivers. Neither income nor the severity of a child's disability is a barrier to joining a KEEN program. To learn more about KEEN, visit www.keennewyork.org.
