Membership

Membership in the Princeton Association of New York City (PANYC) offers you the opportunity to directly support your local Princeton community. PANYC is the official alumni organization for Princetonians living in New York City, but it does not receive any financial support from the University. Your dues represent our primary source of income and allow PANYC to realize its goal of bringing together area Princeton alumni through cultural, volunteer, networking, and social activities.

Specifically, your dues will be used to:

• Establish the PANYC Scholarship, to be awarded annually to a Princeton undergraduate from NYC
• Provide an annual gift in support of the Princeton Prize in Race Relations
• Sponsor the annual "PicNYC" in Central Park to send off the incoming freshman class and their parents from NYC
• Continue keeping our events affordable and accessible to as many alumni as possible
• Pay for book event venues, guest speakers, and support communication costs, such as print mailings
• Cover ongoing administrative and technology costs, such as website hosting fees

Recently, we have brought Princeton alumni in NYC together at these events:

• Beer and Cheese Pairing with Garrett Oliver, Brewmaster of the Brooklyn Brewery
• Interschool Mixer at the Boat Basin Café with Duke and Brown
• Live screening in the Princeton Club of the Princeton vs Harvard playoff basketball game
• Dinner and performance of traditional Japanese musical instruments hosted by Meg Fagan Schlefer '76
• Volunteer Day with GO Project
• MBA Admissions Panel
• Year-Round Dodgeball and Wiffleball Teams

All PANYC members receive the following benefits:

• Discounts to PANYC events, and in some cases, free admission
• Free admission to an annual members-only event
• 10% discount off of your Princeton Club of New York membership (see FAQ for more information)
• Eligibility to participate in PANYC's Group Health Insurance Plan offered through Atlantis Health.
• An opportunity to connect with other alumni living in the NYC area

As a volunteer organization, PANYC relies on the ideas and energy of alumni. We welcome all volunteers at any level of involvement. We also partner with and support the initiatives of University-recognized groups and committees such as Alumni Schools Committees, Princeton Women’s Network (PWN), Asian American Alumni Association of Princeton (A4P), Association of Black Princeton Alumni (ABPA), International Alumni Association of Princeton (IAAP), Bisexual, Transgendered, Gay, and Lesbian Alumni Association of Princeton (BTGALA).

You don't have to live in New York City to be a member or come to events. Anyone is welcome to join or sign up for our newsletter.

PANYC is a 501(c)3 organization. All donations are fully tax deductible under IRS rules.
