  • November 14, 2009: Diwali at the Chapel
    Princeton University celebrated Diwali at the University Chapel. The Diwali celebration was hosted by the University’s Office of Religious Life (ORL) and spearheaded by the University’s recently created Hindu Life Program. More details can be found on the Events page.

  • August 2009: Mumbai and Delhi Receptions for Incoming Princetonians were held recently at the homes of Namita Devidayal ('91) and Dr. Prabhu Ghate ('76,'83) respectively. Visit the Events page for more details.

  • Namita Devidayal ('91) recently launched her best-selling book, The Music Room (St Martins Press) in the US. The launch event took place at the Asia Society in New York. She gave a short vocal performance after which she read extracts from the book. This was followed by a colourful question-answer session with New York-based dancer and choreographer Rajika Puri.
    Namita also did a lunch-time event at Princeton University, sponsored by the South Asian studies department. Both students and members of the community attended.

  • April 16th 2009: "An evening with Nandan Nilekani" was held at IILM, New Delhi, in association with the Penn Club of India. Almost 70 alum from Princeton, Penn, Columbia, Chicago, Yale and other top US schools turned out to hear Nandan Nilekani, currently Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Infosys and the author of "Imagining India: Ideas for a New Century" talk about his new book.
