Dave Thompson '74 feted by Club

On the afternoon of September 30th, we gathered in the home of Bob Alfson '72 P05 and Ginny Harrison.  The meeting was touted as a social occasion and as a hand-over of the ASC chairmanship from Thomson to Rob Ramana '80.  In the middle of informal socializing, President David Mercer '72 got everyone's attention for a surprise recognition of Thompson's outstanding, dedicated management of the Alumni Schools Committee for Western Oklahoma for the last 10 years. Those present in addition to the above were Dave's wife, Judy, Joshua Landis *97 with his wife and child, John Walker '70 with his Casady-Senior son, Jut Meininger '58 touting his two new books, Chuck Morrison '62 and wife, Rob Hamm '72 P08 with his wife and her mother, John Orban '67 and Peter Shull '76 who came the farthest. Among the interesting regrets were those offered by Andrew Jarrett '03 who had responsibilities at the OCU Head of the Oklahoma Regatta, and Elizabeth Anthony '99 who was in a corner of the state organizing an event in her father's campaign for reelection to a seat on the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
